Nordomatic’s core business is contributing to sustainability in a very tangible way by working to promote and deliver open innovation within Smart Buildings. Reducing energy consumption for property owners is a cornerstone in the company. And the more work the company does, the more CO2 emissions are avoided.

That is one of the main conclusions in the newly released Sustainability Report 2021 from Nordomatic – Scandinavia’s leading system integrator focusing on smart buildings and energy efficiency.

“In 2021 alone, more than 80,000 tonnes of CO2 have been avoided thanks to the work of Nordomatic. This equals an improvement from last year of more than 14,000 tonnes and is a result of the fact that the more business we do, the better for the planet,” says President and CEO of Nordomatic, Olov Schagerlund

Nordomatic’s core business actively mitigates climate change through energy-saving solutions and related services, enabling customers to do their part in achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement. And the work of Nordomatic has a significant impact on the climate, the new Sustainability Report shows.

Nordomatic will continue to develop and scale its solutions and services to increase customers’ energy efficiency and productivity and reduce their carbon footprint. Nordomatic have set the ambition to more than double the energy savings and CO2 avoided by the company’s customers – and there is a great potential in the years to come.

“During 2021 our efforts within sustainability intensified, and sustainability is now a fully integrated part of our strategy “European Impact Leader 2025”. In Europe, buildings consume 40% of the total energy demand, and by automating and optimizing how heating, cooling, and ventilation are managed, Nordomatic can reduce energy needed by more than 25%”, says President and CEO of Nordomatic, Olov Schagerlund

The skilled employees of Nordomatic are crucial to the success, and to create long term value Nordomatic take action, deliver value and build trust within the organization.

Reducing Nordomatic’s own carbon footprint

Besides helping customers lower their CO2 emissions, Nordomatic own footprint is reduced in absolute numbers although the business is growing. In 2021 the company gradually phased out the number of cars driven with fossil fuels and shifted the car fleet towards a higher share of hybrid and electrical alternatives – lowering the company’s own CO2 emissions successfully with 14% compared to last year.

In 2021 Nordomatic have, thanks to the possibility to track the company’s sustainability progress, joined the international NGO CDP’s Private Market disclosure pilot project, which collects data for 1.000 companies to disclose environmental data.
