The acquisition also marks an important structural milestone for Nordomatic US. AME Inc., acquired by Nordomatic 18 months ago, was the company’s first entry into the U.S. market. With Conexus now joining, Nordomatic US will consist of two integrated companies: AME Inc. and Conexus. This combined structure strengthens Nordomatic’s footprint, operational capacity, and long-term market ambitions in the United States.
With 50 employees, a strong reputation, and long-standing customer relationships across K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare, Industrial/Manufacturing, Federal/DoD and State Agencies, Conexus becomes a fully integrated part of Nordomatic US. Founder and owner Kurt Twiford will continue as Director of the Pennsylvania Region and report to Amit Patel, US Group President, who also assumes the role of Country Director US.
“No one will match our capabilities, depth, and reach. We are creating the strongest independent BMS setup in the country.”
Amit Patel, US Group President & Country Director
For Amit Patel, the acquisition represents a transformative step in the evolution of Nordomatic US:
“I am incredibly excited to welcome Conexus into Nordomatic US. They bring strong technical expertise, deep customer relationships, and a culture that aligns closely with our own.”
“With AME and Conexus together, we are creating what I believe will be the strongest independent BMS setup in the country—no one will match our capabilities, depth, and reach.”
Amit adds:
“As part of Nordomatic, AME and our broader organization will help support Conexus with additional resources, expanded competencies, and access to a larger knowledge base. This will enable Conexus to serve even more customers across their region while further strengthening our collective presence in the U.S. market.”
“This was the right path for our people, our culture, and our future”
Kurt Twiford, Founder & CEO, Conexus Inc.
Founder and owner Kurt Twiford explains that selling Conexus was not something he had planned—until he met Nordomatic’s CEO.
“Culture… I wasn’t ready to sell Conexus. But after meeting Toke, the main thing I walked away with was his genuine focus on people and employee engagement. In a market where private equity buyers emphasize financials above all else, this stood out.”
“It has always been crucial to me that the people who built Conexus have a future here. Nordomatic’s culture, access to resources, and a clear path forward for our team are the reasons I went from ‘not ready’ to ‘this makes sense.’”
He adds:
“I guess this truly reflects what ‘Change today. Impact tomorrow.’ is all about.”
“We are here to win—and we are only getting started”
Toke Kjær Juul, Group CEO, Nordomatic
Group CEO Toke Kjær Juul sees the acquisition as a defining step in the company’s U.S. strategy:
“When we acquired AME Inc. 1.5 years ago, it was our first—and very important—step into the U.S. market. The experience has exceeded expectations across culture, customer relationships, and business potential. It has reinforced our belief in the market and strengthened our dedication.”
“The acquisition of Conexus is the natural next step. Conexus has a strong position in Pennsylvania, excellent technical capabilities, and a culture that fits Nordomatic perfectly.”
He concludes:
“Our ambition is clear: We want to become the strongest independent partner in the U.S. BMS market. And this acquisition brings us significantly closer. But we are not done—we are already planning the next steps.”
A Stronger Nordomatic US—Built for Growth and Market Leadership
The acquisition strengthens Nordomatic US in three core areas:
1. Geographic expansion
Conexus expands Nordomatic’s reach from New York (AME) into Pennsylvania and the broader mid-Atlantic region.
2. Competence and capacity
Conexus contributes strong engineering capabilities and deep sector expertise across multiple customer segments.
3. Strategic position
As consolidation accelerates in the U.S. systems integrator market, Nordomatic US now emerges as one of the most competitive, well-resourced independent integrators in the country.
