Nordomatic has acquired Pro Bygningsautomatik as an important step in the continued development of both Nordomatic and Pro Bygningsautomatik. According to Ketil Juul, Country Director of Nordomatic’s Danish operations, the acquisition creates a strong strategic fit between the two companies.

“The primary purpose of the acquisition is to strengthen our position in Copenhagen and across Zealand. At the same time, Pro Bygningsautomatik brings strong capabilities that can contribute positively to our continued development – particularly within integration. In return, we can provide Pro Bygningsautomatik and its customers with access to additional services, including service and connectivity. We therefore see a very strong fit between the two companies,” says Ketil Juul.

Based in Rødovre, Pro Bygningsautomatik employs 29 people. For more than 20 years, the company has built a strong position within building automation and BMS, working with projects, integration, modernization, energy optimization, as well as service and maintenance.

The company has a particularly strong presence in the greater Copenhagen area and extensive experience in becoming involved early in projects and developing solutions in close collaboration with consultants, engineers and other technical disciplines. This is supported by an experienced project organization and a well-established service organization.

A shared culture is an important part of the fit

According to Nordomatic, the acquisition is not only about bringing together capabilities and increasing market capacity.

“Of course, the business synergies are important, but it is equally important that the companies are a good fit on a human level. We see many similarities in the way we work, our employee cultures and the values that shape both organizations. This provides a strong foundation for developing the business together,” says Ketil Juul.

Together, Nordomatic and Pro Bygningsautomatik will be better positioned to compete for both larger and more complex projects in Copenhagen and across Zealand.

At the same time, Pro Bygningsautomatik’s existing customers will gain easier access to Nordomatic’s nationwide organization and a broader range of services within building automation, service and connectivity.

Pro Bygningsautomatik was founded in 2001 under the name SND Danmark. In 2005, Bjarne Nielsen and Ole Brenting joined the ownership group following several years of close collaboration with Pro Ventilation. Since 2011, the company has been part of PRO|GRUPPEN.

Today, the company is a technology partner for, among others, Tridium, iSMA, TREND and Regin, serving a broad range of professional customers.

With the acquisition, Pro Bygningsautomatik will continue its development as part of Nordomatic, with the ambition of combining strong local presence and technical expertise with the capacity, services and nationwide reach of a larger organization.

For Pro Bygningsautomatik, the acquisition comes at a time when the company was preparing for its next phase of growth.

“When Nordomatic approached us, it made sense to start a dialogue. We quickly realized that our businesses complement each other very well. What we would have needed for our next phase of growth is already part of Nordomatic’s organization, while we bring a strong local position and capabilities that can further strengthen Nordomatic across Zealand,” says Allan Hansen, Sales Manager and co-owner of Pro Bygningsautomatik.
