How Our Calculator Engineer Helps Build Smarter Buildings
How did Armaghan find her place at Nordomatic?
Making buildings smarter and more sustainable requires knowledge that goes beyond national borders. By bringing in international expertise, we combine global insights with local challenges. That is exactly what smart buildings are about. With Armaghan on our team, we have that valuable perspective in-house. But does the Calculator Engineer, who studied in Iran and Sweden and worked in Belgium, already feel at home within the Nordomatic family? We asked her to find out.
Calculator Engineer Armaghan on Her First Months
How do you end up at Nordomatic Benelux after years of studying and working in three different countries? “I have always been fascinated by buildings and energy systems,” Armaghan says. “After completing my master’s degree in Energy for Smart Cities, I wanted to finally put my knowledge into practice. I had already worked in the HVAC sector for three years, but I missed genuine innovation. When I saw this vacancy, I immediately knew: this is exactly what I was looking for.”
A Warm Welcome at Nordomatic
How has it been so far? “It took a little time to adjust in the beginning,” she explains. “My Belgian colleagues did everything they could to support me, but iBOS was new to them as well. I received extra help and guidance from colleagues in the Netherlands and Sweden. That cross-border collaboration worked extremely well and immediately made me feel at home.”
Where Does Our Calculator Engineer Want to Improve Even Further?
Armaghan now works in the IBOS Sales team, where she focuses daily on smart buildings and their future. “There is still so much to discover,” she says. “I want to deepen my knowledge of both the technical and commercial aspects of IBOS. I also prepare quotations and cost calculations. This helps me understand the product better and see how it is applied in practice.”
