Hirsch & Cie., renowned for its striking domed tower, has been a landmark in Amsterdam for over a century. Originally established as Amsterdam’s first haute couture fashion house, it continues to exude its original charm thanks to its esteemed tenants. It’s an architectural beauty housing offices and stores.

The new Hirsch & Cie. building opened in 1912, and despite many changes over the years, its distinctive early 20th-century architecture remains intact. Corinthian columns and detailed angel sculptures around the dome contribute to its classical, luxurious appearance, which continues to evoke a sense of opulence today. Undoubtedly, it is one of Amsterdam’s finest architectural gems.

In 2008, the owner undertook a meticulous five-year renovation. This extensive restoration was carried out with exceptional care and attention to detail, ensuring that Hirsch & Cie. remains a cherished landmark for many years to come.
